Creating New Beliefs

Creating New Beliefs

A belief is simply a thought you keep thinking. Some thoughts are ingrained into our minds at an early age from parents and teachers.. However, they don’t necessarily serve you or benefit you. Releasing old, outdated beliefs is like peeling an onion. One layer at a time, you eventually get to the foundation of your core beliefs.

Once your true core beliefs are revealed to you, that’s when the “ah ha” moments occur. You begin to see how you created certain experiences in life; wanted and unwanted. The beautiful thing is that now you can eliminate the unwanted experiences by choosing and creating new beliefs. This takes time, so you might as well be patient and trust the Universe (God) to do what’s best for you.

When the time is right and when you are ready, each layer that is removed is an epiphany and it is so worth it. As we gently receive the revelation of clarity and understanding, in each moment we are drawn closer and closer to our authentic self. The nearer we draw the more we expand. It is the most delicious and blissful experience of spiritual development. This is because when we release old beliefs we simultaneously allow new beliefs that align with our core vibration; our real self.

Creating New Beliefs

A Belief is Just a Thought You Keep Thinking

Often we are not aware of where a belief began or how we come to choose our beliefs. Some beliefs we embrace over time through such means as studying, doing research or through consistent rehearsal or practice of information or knowledge we deliberately choose to remember. However, other beliefs attach themselves to us very subtly. As we think a thought over and over, regardless as to whether it is what we want, eventually it becomes a belief. For example, if every time you look in the mirror, you tell yourself that you’re fat, eventually you come to believe you are fat.

Most of our insecurities about how we look derives from our self-talk. If we are not careful about how we think and feel about ourselves, negative self-talk can be very damaging to our self-esteem and self-confidence.

Deliberately Creating New Beliefs for a New Life

Releasing old beliefs is as simple as choosing new beliefs to replace them. This can only happen over time as you deliberately think and feel a new way. Often I find it easier to simply stay positive by choosing emotions that feel really good and focusing my attention only on things that make me feel good. This is almost like pushing the reset button. Once you get used to feeling good on a regular basis by choosing to feel good, you will know right away when you are not thinking something that makes you feel good.

Once you become aware of the thoughts that are causing you to feel bad, then you can choose better feeling thoughts. Eventually, the new better feeling thoughts will become new and improved beliefs.

“You Create Your Own Reality”

As someone who has believed in the law of attraction for many years. The saying, “You Create Your Own Reality” has always resonated with me. When you understand the power of your beliefs and how your core beliefs effect your energy vibration, you have a clear understanding of how you are creating every experience you are living. Often this is hard for us to believe because we simply don’t want to believe that we are creating the unwanted things in our lives. However, if you look deep enough at your core beliefs, you might be quite amazed at how they align so closely with what you are experiencing in your life. What you choose to believe is only true for you because you believe it is so. ~Namaste ~
